Posters on general interest to the PICES Scientific Committees, including those not necessarily matching the themes of the Topic Sessions, are welcome.  Posters will be on display from October 16 (a.m.) until the end of the “Wine and Cheese” Poster Session on the evening of October 18, when poster presenters are expected to be available to answer questions.

The size of a poster is 85 cm x 119 cm (portrait-oriented).

Please add your photograph to the right upper corner of your poster.

Mailing posters to Hiroshima

You can mail your poster to the Local Organizing Committee at this address:

1. Please mark your name and session/workshop number, and "PICES-2012" clearly on the tube/package.

2. Please ensure your tube/package is delivered to this address no later than October 5. After that date members of the Local Organizing Committee will not be at the institute any more.

Printing your poster in Hiroshima

There is a "Kinko's" in downtown Hiroshima, within 10 minutes' walk from the meeting venue (see map and photo).

Hours: open 24 hours on weekdays (Saturday: closed at 22:00; Sunday: open 08:00 - 22:00; Monday: open at 08:00).

Price: 6,615JPY (includes tax) for B1/A0 size print out (this would be enough for the posters for PICES-2012: 85 cm x 119 cm). If the poster includes many photos, gloss paper is recommended (7,350JPY for B1/A0 size).

Printing time: the shortest time for the printing is 3 hours (from receiving data to finishing print-out of the poster). Time needed depends on the situation and content.
