Terms of Reference

Provision of good quality and timely buoy data to users;
Insertion of real-time (or near real-time) buoy data into the Global Telecommunications System (GTS);
Archiving;
Exchange of information on data buoy activities and development and transfer of appropriate technology; and will support the aims and objectives of PICES as expressed through POC in particular with respect to:
1. Encouraging the exchange of ocean data and information in the N. Pacific;
2. Encouraging the development of new sensors that increase the utility of ocean data buoys and the exchange of information about those sensors.
